"He's an awesome guy!" - Mikey Musumeci recalls how a mundane post-fight meal became his favorite hangout with Rodtang

ONE superstar Mikey Musumeci and Rodtang Jitmuangnon have created an incredible bond that is bigger than any world title.

Besides competing inside the ONE ring, these two friends have a lot more in common than many people think. And although there's a bit of a language barrier, they make it work every time in order to hang out and talk about life.

As Musumeci and Rodtang prepare for their upcoming fights at ONE 167, which airs live from inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok on June 7, 'Darth Rigatoni' was asked to share a favorite Rodtang memory.

Speaking to ONE, the BJJ genius said the following:

"So you know how, like little kids, when they meet each other, they don't really talk, they just run up to each other and start playing with each other. That's basically, me and Rodtang. We've fished, we did karaoke!

He continued to add:

"One of my favorite Rodtang memories? Me and Rodtang were in Denver and we both won the 50K. He won the 100K bonus, and everything was closed because it's in Denver, it's like 2am and we were eating at Denny's! It was the first time he was eating at, like Denny's, and he was like 'What is this?!' He's an awesome guy."

Recent fan poll favors Mikey Musumeci for the win against fellow BJJ black belt Gabriel Sousa at ONE 167

A recent poll was released this week by ONE Championship, supporting Mikey Musumeci as the winner of the ONE bantamweight submission grappling bout against Brazilian ace Gabriel Sousa at ONE 167.

The polls show that the flyweight submission grappling kingpin has won an astounding 81% compared to Sousa's 19%.

Musumeci has been an unstoppable force to be reckoned with, evidenced by his undefeated 6-0 record at ONE. Not only that, he is just as dangerous fighting in a heavier weight class as he is at flyweight.

So, despite Mikey Musumeci's 2021 loss to Gabriel Sousa, the fans believe he is levels above his rival.
