"He's definitely added some good striking" - Danny Kingad believes Adriano Moraes is ready to impress on the feet at ONE 169

Filipino star Danny Kingad is impressed by what he sees from Adriano Moraes' end before their hotly anticipated rematch at ONE 169.

The Lions Nation MMA affiliate meets the former kingpin in a flyweight MMA joust, which broadcasts live from the revered Lumpinee Stadium on Nov. 8.

There, the 29-year-old has a chance to avenge his submission loss to 'Mikinho', but he knows he won't have it easy as the Brazilian has evolved into a more well-rounded fighter than the typical BJJ-heavy style he used to bring.

Speaking to Philstar recently, Danny Kingad said:

"He's certainly improved his striking a lot since we last fought. It's obvious that jiu-jitsu is still his strength, but he's definitely added some good striking to his game."

Apart from wanting to level the series with 'Mikinho', the wushu specialist hopes to get back on track after mixing losses and wins in his past five outings.

Most recently, 'The King' was outclassed by Yuya Wakamatsu at ONE 165 in Tokyo, Japan in January.

"I’m starting to pick up on my training now. I’m entering the hard stage of my training. Starting early is a huge advantage mainly because you won’t cram anything."
