Fans react to recent photos of Conor McGregor looking HUGE post-training

Fans have reacted to Conor McGregor's recent post-workout photos wherein he appears to have bulked up considerably. McGregor, a former UFC featherweight (145-pound) and lightweight (155-pound) champion, last competed at UFC 264 in July 2021.

'The Notorious' faced Dustin Poirier in a lightweight bout at the event and suffered a gruesome lower leg injury in round one. Unable to continue, McGregor lost the fight via first-round TKO (doctor's stoppage).

The MMA icon and UFC megastar has been working hard on his recovery ever since. As displayed below, a few photos from McGregor's latest Instagram post feature him looking jacked and seemingly primed to return.

Some fans responded by suggesting that Conor McGregor might be using steroids to bulk up and improve his athletic performance. Taking to McGregor's Instagram post's comments section, one fan wrote:

"bro drug test this man tf"

Meanwhile, another fan insinuated that McGregor's using every banned PED (Performance Enhancing Drug) he can avail himself:

"he's on everything"

Furthermore, alluding to recent reports that McGregor isn't being tested by USADA during his hiatus, one Instagram user wrote:

"Someone call USADA"

Others further dived into the alleged steroid use topic by noting that McGregor's managed to stay lean despite all the size gains:

"Say there is a little extra help with that extra size 😂 Some how remain lean and put size on lol"

Others also hinted that McGregor's weight gain and beardless look make him almost unrecognizable:

"Who the foook is that guy"

One fan praised the 34-year-old's physique and wrote:

"Bro is fookin jacked"

Similarly, another Instagram user lauded the Irishman and asserted:

"Man looks like beast"

Moreover, one fan jokingly pretended as though the individual in the photo wasn't McGregor:

Conor McGregor unravels potential timeline for his comeback fight

During a live video on his social media late last month, Conor McGregor let fans in on when he could potentially return to the octagon. McGregor referenced the fact that he'd been busy shooting for his part in the remake of the classic 'Road House' movie.

On that note, Conor McGregor highlighted that he'll up the ante of his training in the days to come after he's done with his aforesaid filming obligations. Reassuring fans that he could compete in his comeback fight in the first quarter of 2023, McGregor stated:

"I'm gonna be back soon hopefully. Early 2023 I'm aiming for. You know, sometime in that first quarter. That'll give me a good couple of months. Once I wrap this in a couple of days, get this camp going, good couple of months and get going."
