"He's the GOAT" - Fans don't see anyone beating flyweight MMA king Demetrious Johnson in the circle
Reigning undisputed ONE flyweight MMA world champion Demetrious Johnson officially closed out his rivalry with Adriano Moraes after outpointing him during their world title showdown at ONE Fight Night 10 in May 2023 with a unanimous decision victory. It was their third meeting, as they split the two previous fights in 2021 and 2022.
Moraes drew first blood before Johnson evened their head-to-head score. That vicious knockout win by Johnson was recently reposted by ONE Championship on Instagram, and the post was captioned with:
"Committed to the vision 💪 Who should ONE Flyweight MMA World Champion Demetrious Johnson defend his throne against next? @mighty"
The published video was about 'The Mighty Mouse's' journey from being a construction worker to becoming one of the sport's greatest athletes.
This has become an inspiration to fans, as they sent their positive messages via their comments, spearheaded by users @spinningbackdick, @yassila808, @green_devil_grows, @kenzy_jean_pierre, @enriquetheblack, and @overtheoctagonpodcast:
"It doesn't matter nobody gonna beat him anyways 🐐"
"I think he's the goat"
"Anyone he wants"
"The absolute GOAT of any fighting"
"Man toughest opponent in Elden Ring boss"
"If it's in Atlanta anybody will do."
Demetrious Johnson has been growing his online presence with combat sports-related content
Now that Johnson has reached the pinnacle of success in the mixed martial arts world, he has been dabbling in other ventures, particularly in growing his online presence through social media. The 37-year-old American has steadily built his YouTube channel, where he produces content related to combat sports.
One of the most recent videos on his channel was his reaction video to the undisputed heavyweight world title boxing clash between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk last month.
The AMC Pankration and Evolve MMA representative was entertained during the bout and congratulated Usyk for beating Fury to become the unquestioned heavyweight king of boxing today.
