"He's going to take this one" - Johan Ghazali confident Liam Harrison will return with a bang against Katsuki Kitano

Young combat sports stars always look up to those who have come before them and Malaysian-American Muay Thai prodigy Johan Ghazali is no different.

As he prepares for his sixth fight under the world's largest martial arts promotion at ONE 167 on June 7, 'Jojo' is excited to watch Muay Thai veteran Liam Harrison make his own return to the Circle against Katsuki Kitano at the same event.

Speaking with Sportskeeda MMA, Johan Ghazali shared his belief that 'Hitman' will defeat Kitano inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand:

"Katsuki looked really impressive in his last fight against that Turkish or Dutch guy, I believe. But Liam is coming back into this after that long injury and stuff. So, I believe that he's going to take this one."

It has been nearly two years since ONE Championship fans last saw Harrison inside the Circle as he dealt with multiple injuries that kept him on the shelf since August 2022.

Now ready and willing to duke it out with one of the young guns of Muay Thai, Harrison is out to prove that he can still hang with them at age 38.

As mentioned, the 17-year-old Malaysian-American will compete at ONE 167 where he faces Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat in a flyweight Muay Thai showdown.

With four out of his five victories coming by way of a finish, Ghazali wants to add Nguyen to the list as he posted on his Instagram:

"30 days until THE biggest fight of my career. I will show that I belong alongside the legends of the sport. Win or lose just know fireworks are coming your way hahaaa lets gooo 50g's babyyy."

ONE 167 will air live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
