“He’s a good guy” - Ahmed Mujtaba has no beef with Kade Ruotolo ahead of MMA scrap
Pakistani mixed martial arts sensation 'Wolverine' Ahmed Mujtaba is heading into his next fight as a massive underdog despite having more experience than upcoming opponent Kade Ruotolo.
And the 31-year-old AKA representative says it's all peachy between him and the American star.
Ruotolo is the reigning and undisputed ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion. However, the 21-year-old Atos jiu-jitsu product made his professional MMA debut earlier this year, successfully defeating countryman Blake Cooper at ONE 167 last June.
Now, Ruotolo is back for his second MMA fight in the world's largest martial arts organization.
Addressing the media at the official ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug press conference on Wednesday in Bangkok, Mujtaba had nothing but praise for Ruotolo ahead of their upcoming matchup.
'Wolverine' said:
"I’m ready. He’s a good guy. He’s a BJJ champion but I have tools in my arsenal as well and I’m ready for 8th November. It’s gonna be a good fight."
Needless to say, Mujtaba is looking to score a massive upset and derail Ruotolo's hypetrain. However, that is easier said than done as Ruotolo looked absolutely impressive in his first MMA fight a few months ago.
It all comes to a head at ONE 169 on Prime Video.
