"He's setting traps" - Demetrious Johnson breaks down Tawanchai's 'sneaky' striking against Superbon
Demetrious Johnson is in complete awe of Tawanchai's technical performance against Superbon in their world title scrum last year.
The flyweight MMA world champion has always had a high regard for all things Muay Thai. One of the reasons why he decided to analyze Tawanchai vs. Superbon is that Tawanchai, the current ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion, is en route to face Jo Nattawut for the third time at ONE 169: Atlanta.
Moreover, 'Mighty Mouse' believes Tawanchai to be one of the most techincal strikers in the business, for the way he sets up his attacks at close range. So why not learn a thing or two from the greatest strikers on the planet before we see them again in action?
Uploading the full-fight breakdown on his YouTube Channel, Mighty, Johnson praised one of Tawanchai's sneakiest attacks on Superbon with the wild reaction below:
"You guys see that? Y'all didn't see that, I did. Let me show you what he just did. So he's setting traps, okay? He showed the body kick, when Superbon stepped back out, he came and threw an uppercut in the middle."

Indeed, Tawanchai has become one of the best Muay Thai strikers we've seen since he moved up a heavier weight class in ONE Championship.
Watch him in action once again in a trilogy showdown with none other than Muay Thai tactician Jo Nattawut, who is also scheduled to fight Superbon in a featherweight Muay Thai face-off at ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon vs. Nattawut on September 27.
Tickets for ONE 169: Atlanta for November 8 are available via Ticketmaster.
Tawanchai retains ONE featherweight Muay Thai crown with razor-thin win over Jo Nattawut
Tawanchai continues to have the best fights with the toughest opponent in the division, No.3- ranked contender 'Smoking' Jo Nattawut.
In the first fight, Tawanchai didn't put much of a front against Nattawut, probably because it was a last-minute kickboxing match with his fellow Thai striker. It was a great match, but Tawanchai just didn't shine that night - Nattawut did, although he won the bout by decision.
But in their rematch at ONE 167, Tawanchai dug deep as Nattawut challenged him for five full rounds for the featherweight Muay Thai gold. The defending champion retained his crown that night, but some of the fans were hoping for a draw of some sort.
Tawanchai hopes to put all doubts to rest with a dominating finish against his toughest rival on November 8 in Atlanta.
