"He's smashing it in there" - Liam Harrison explains why Jonathan Haggerty has a legitimate chance to beat the mighty Superlek
Despite their previous differences, Liam Harrison can put this aside to show his appreciation for Jonathan Haggerty. The two Brits haven't always seen eye-to-eye, and that has created some conflict between them in the past.
Though this never materialized into a fight between them due to both men being at different stages in their careers, there is a certain amount of respect, at least on Harrison's side.
The veteran believes that people should not be discounting Haggerty ahead of his next fight, even if his challenger, Superlek, is one of the best in the world. In a recent interview with the South China Morning Post, 'The Hitman' gave three reasons why the bantamweight Muay Thai world champion keeping hold of his belt is a potential outcome:
"I've seen a lot of people writing Jonathan off already, but I don't know where the percentages lie in this fight because of these factors. One - Haggerty is a lot bigger than him. Two - Haggerty looks like he's more explosive and powerful than ever. Three - Jonathan is already out there training like a beast. He's smashing it in there. He's going to be ready for a full five round fight."

All three of Liam Harrison's advantages over Jonathan Haggerty are thanks to decisions that the Brit made before this fight. Moving up to bantamweight has allowed him to really flourish physically, and you can see it in his fights.
As Harrison pointed out, now that he is bigger than before, he looks faster and more powerful which makes him so much more dangerous than he was at flyweight.
Not to mention that he has been taking his training camp very seriously by flying out to Denver a month early to properly acclimate.
Superlek will be facing the best version of 'The General' on September 6 at the Ball Arena in Denver.
Tickets for ONE 168: Denver are available via Ticketmaster.
