“He’s a strong man” - Danial Williams says ‘tough’ Banma Duoji made him work extra hard for ONE Fight Night 25 victory

Three-sport superstar Danial Williams climbed back into the win column at ONE Fight Night 25, but it didn't come easy.

After coming up short against Lito Adiwang at ONE Fight Night 19 in February, 'Mini T' returned to the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand for a showdown with Chinese standout Banma Duoji. Through three entertaining rounds of action, both fighters gave everything they had, but in the end, it was Williams who came out on top via unanimous decision.

Speaking with combat sports journalist Nick Atkins following his big win, Williams lauded Banma's strength, saying:

"He’s a strong man, he’s big, he missed weight, so I just had to be careful in this fight."

With the win over Banma, Danial Williams moved to 4-2 in mixed martial arts competition under the ONE Championship banner—including wins over Dejdamrong, Namiki Kawahara, and Zelang Zhaxi before getting his hand raised against 'The Prince.'

Danial Williams was joined by Johan Estupinan, John Lineker, and Regian Eersel inside the winner's circle at ONE Fight Night 25

A slew of ONE Championship's most exciting superstars joined Danial Williams in the winner's circle at ONE Fight Night 25, including undefeated Muay Thai sensation Johan Estupinan. 'Panda Kick' delivered a lights-out performance against Zakaria El Jamari moving him to 4-0 inside the Circle and an impressive 26-0 in his combat sports career.

Elsewhere, strawweight MMA contender Mansur Malachiev moved one step closer to a shot at the division's top prize via a unanimous decision victory over Bokang Masunyane.

Also bagging his second win in four short weeks was former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion John Lineker. After earning a second-round KO against Asa Ten Pow at ONE 168: Denver, 'Hands of Stone' finished Russia's Alexey Balykho in the opening round with a brutal left hook against the ropes.
