Michael Bisping and Chael Sonnen are the latest victims of the infamous "RIP Joe Rogan" meme on social media.

Commenting "RIP Joe Rogan" on social media has been a long-running inside joke among the MMA community. Over the years, there have been several instances of social media users either claiming or falling for death hoaxes about Rogan.

The first hoax appeared online around 2010, but they have continued popping up to this day. But for some reason, Bisping and Sonnen had no idea that #RIPJoeRogan was a popular internet meme. As such, both fighters fell for it.

Bisping admitted in a recent live Q&A with fans that he was fooled by the hoaxes. The former UFC middleweight champion even said he searched Rogan's name on Google to confirm whether the rumors were true.

Meanwhile, Sonnen seemed genuinely concerned when one of his commenters lied to him about Rogan's situation. He earnestly asked his subscribers, "Everything is alright with Joe, right?"

Needless to say, MMA Twitter found it hilarious that the two UFC vets fell for one of the oldest memes on social media. Check out the best reactions below:

Joe Rogan rips into weight-cutting in MMA

Joe Rogan is not a huge fan of the weight-cutting aspect of MMA.

Rogan discussed the middleweight title bout between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira with Steve-O during an episode of his Spotify-exclusive podcast. During their conversation, they touched upon the topic of Pereira's size as a middleweight.

It is believed that the Brazilian walks around at 220 pounds, meaning he cuts 35 pounds to make the middleweight limit. Steve-O asked if Pereira is really that big, to which the UFC color commentator replied:

"He could have been. He certainly gets above that in-between fights. He has a hard time making 185. It’s a bull***t thing. It’s basically sanctioned cheating. It really is. But everybody does it."
