“He was talking a lot of sh*t” - Jonathan Haggerty says he held nothing back against Fabricio Andrade
Jonathan Haggerty was more than happy to shut Fabricio Andrade's mouth.
After landing an earth-shattering KO against Nong-O Hama to win the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship, 'The General' returned for a clash with Andrade at ONE Fight Night 15 with the winner emerging as the ONE bantamweight kickboxing king.
In the weeks leading up to the bout, Andrade was more than confident in his ability to finish Haggerty and let his opponent that in great detail every chance he got.
Unfortunately for 'Wonder Boy,' that only fueled Haggerty once the two finally stepped inside the Circle against one another.
"It was a great fight, but I really went to put a full stop to him," Haggerty said during a career retrospective on his YouTube channel. "The way he was talking, he was talking a lot of sh*t. So I was very hyped up for this fight and motivated again."
Haggerty ultimately finished Andrade in the second round to become a two-sport ONE world champion. On Friday, September 6, 'The General' will head to the United States to defend one of those two titles.
