"He has the tools to finish him" - Lito Adiwang backs Jeremy Miado's explosive power to overcome Hiroba Minowa's wrestling
ONE strawweight MMA contender Lito Adiwang gave his two cents about an important match-up in his division between Jeremy Miado and Hiroba Minowa.
This Friday, July 5, these two 125-pound dynamos will square off in a three-round MMA battle at ONE Fight Night 23: Ok vs Rasulov on Prime Video inside the legendary 'Mecca of Muay Thai' Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Adiwang is no stranger to both fighters since he already shared the Circle with the Filipino striker and the Japanese grappler.
Then again, it comes as no surprise that the Soma Fight Club standout will be rooting for 'The Jaguar' on this one.
In an exclusive interview with ONE Championship, 'Thunder Kid' said Miado's elite striking pedigree will overcome Minowa's grappling-heavy attacks.
"He has my support. I want him to win this fight," Adiwang said.
"He can dominate Minowa on the feet, and he has the tools to finish [him] via KO or TKO."
Jeremy Miado's concussive abilities are well documented in ONE, with finishes over the likes of Adiwang, Danial Williams, and Miao Li Tao, among others.
However, his grappling defense leaves a lot to be desired and has been the culprit in his recent three-fight slide.
One thing's for sure, Miado will have his work cut out for him to counter Minowa's takedowns and heavy top pressure at ONE Fight Night 23.
Joshua Pacio also believes Jeremy Miado will get his hand raised
Even Joshua 'The Passsion' Pacio believes his compatriot will end his slump this Friday and return to his winning ways.
The reigning ONE strawweight MMA world champion also told ONE:
"If Miado manages to fend off Minowa's takedowns and turns the fight into a striking battle, it could spell trouble for Minowa."
