"He treats me like his own brother" - UFC Vegas 94 winner gets emotional speaking on having The Korean Zombie in his corner

A UFC fighter recently got emotional following his win at UFC Vegas 94 this weekend. Korean fighter DooHo Choi opened up about having UFC featherweight legend Chan Sung Jung, better known as 'The Korean Zombie' in his corner.

Choi returned to octagon in a featherweight bout against Bill Algeo following a long hiatus of one year. The event took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. 'The Korean Superboy' was coming off a losing streak of three fights against fighters like Cub Swanson, Jeremy Stephens and Charles Jourdain. The 33-year-old won Fight of the Year for the match against Swanson, and both fighters were inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame's Fight Wing.

In his last octagon outing, Choi squared off against Kyle Nelson at UFC Vegas 68 which ended in a draw. Meanwhile, Algeo was coming off a first-round TKO loss against Nelson at UFC Atlantic city earlier this year.

In their fight, Choi sent Algeo to the ground in the second round with a devastating left hook after having already threatened to choke him during the first. While doing so, the American grabbed at his face, and some have speculated that he may have broken an orbital bone from the blow.

After the victory, in his octagon interview with Daniel Cormier, Choi broke down in tears and expressed his gratitude to UFC legend 'The Korean Zombie' for supporting him, saying:

''I'm always grateful for the Zombie. I've been respecting, he's been my mentor for over 10 years and even though I'm not officially part of his team, he treats me like his own brother and helps me out.''
