Henry Cejudo calls Merab Dvalishvili a "nightmare matchup" for Petr Yan
Henry Cejudo recently shared his pick for the upcoming fight between Merab Dvalishvili and Petr Yan.
Former division champion Petr Yan is set to face off against Merab Dvalishvili in the headliner event of UFC Vegas 71 on 11 March 2023 at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is anticipated to be an exciting matchup between two formidable fighters.
Appearing in a recent video uploaded to his YouTube channel, former UFC two-divison champion Henry Cejudo recently revealed his pick for the upcoming fight between Merab Dvalishvili of Georgia and Russian fighter Petr Yan.
Cejudo, who is an Olympic gold medalist in wrestling, is of the opinion that Dvalishvili has the best wrestling and striking skills in the entire division. Hence, he is a "nightmare" for fighters. Revealing his pick, Cejdo claimed that the Georgian fighter will have an upper hand over his Russian opponent:
"His wrestling doesn't scare me, his striking doesn't scare me, but for the rest of the division, he's a nightmare.... I love this fight for Merab. So for that reason I just don't know if Petr Yan has made those adjustments as he continues to keep going to Thailand, continues to try to get better. He can only get so much better with the hands, how good has your grappling skills got? Because if this is going to be a main event for a five-round fight, um... I just see Merab just pretty much... he's going to beat on you like a rat on a cheetah. So I'm going Merab."

Henry Cejudo is confident of getting the better of Aljamain Sterling and Sean O'Malley upon UFC return
Henry Cejudo last fought in the octagon against Dominick Cruz at UFC 249. The Olympic gold medalist wrestler clinched a second-round TKO victory at the event and immediately announced his retirement from the sport.
It appears that Cejudo has had a change of heart and is now deciding to make a return to the ring. Although it is not yet known who his next adversary will be, there are two frontrunners in the running: Aljamain Sterling and Sean O'Malley. Despite the ambiguity of the situation, Cejudo is prepared to take on whoever steps up.
Speaking of his preparedness for a comeback in a clip on his Twitter handle, Cejudo said:
"Recovering, training hard. Someone's gonna get it. Whether it's O'Shmelly or Alajalain Denzel, they're all gonna get it. You guys watch, stay tuned. They haven't seen the best of 'Triple C' yet so tell the world becuase I'm coming for everybody's neck."
