Henry Cejudo calls out Sean O'Malley for mocking his loss against Aljamain Sterling: "He's going to lose to Merab"

UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley recently appeared on the Pound 4 Pound podcast hosted by former UFC champs Henry Cejudo and Kamaru Usman. He appeared for just over 30 seconds. Yes, you read that right. 'Sugar' Sean appeared, said a few words, then stormed out of the video call.

He first praised Usman for his contributions to the sport and then blasted Cejudo for losing to Aljamain Sterling. After saying those two short sentences, Sean O'Malley abruptly ended the call, leaving both Cejudo and Usman dumb-founded and caught off-guard.

While Usman was okay with it and sang O'malley's praises, Cejudo was more critical of his fellow bantamweight, saying:

"Once he [O'Malley] loses to Merab [Dvalishvili], because I do believe he's going to lost to Merab, the next fight that's up is me and him, you know? Like, Deiveson [Figueiredo] is gonna fight Petr Yan, Umar [Nurmagomedov] is already fighting for the belt. The only dude that's really left in that division is myself."

Cejudo's talk of a clash with 'Sugar' could come to fruition, provided that his prediction for Sean O'Malley vs. Merab Dvalishvili this weekend comes true.

If 'Sugar' does lose his belt to Dvalishvili, the next best matchup for him could be Cejudo, making it a battle between former UFC bantamweight champions.
