Henry Cejudo names 'Baddest heavyweight in UFC history' Jon Jones must beat to become the heavyweight GOAT

Henry Cejudo believes that one man is in between Jon Jones and the UFC heavyweight GOAT status.

'Triple C' stated that Jones' hopes of becoming the division's all-time greatest fighter depend on whether or not he can beat former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.

Miocic is regarded as the best heavyweight in UFC history right now, and he holds multiple divisional records including the most title defenses (4) ever.

Henry Cejudo, who helped Jon Jones prepare for his octagon return against Ciryl Gane at UFC 285, recently broke down why 'Bones' needs to beat Miocic to become the heavyweight GOAT. 'Triple C' stated:

"The guy that Jon probably does want to beat, and he does want to beat the greatest heavyweight of all time, his name is Stipe Miocic. You see, at the end of the day, people will look at the credentials [and] people will look at the numbers, and people will see that at the end of the day his name is Stipe Miocic who is the baddest heavyweight in the UFC roster in history. Because numbers don't lie, and a matter of fact, he has a win over Francis Ngannou."

Jon Jones has expressed his desire to fight Stipe Miocic, and has himself regarded the former champion as the greatest heavyweight of all time.

'Bones' is already widely regarded as the best fighter to ever grace the octagon, and Henry Cejudo believes that a win over Miocic could give Jones a new "GOAT" status.

Henry Cejudo clarifies his future and reveals who he wants to fight next

Henry Cejudo was defeated by Aljamain Sterling in the main event of UFC 288, as 'Triple C' vied to reclaim the bantamweight title he relinquished in 2020.

Following his loss to Sterling, it appeared that 'Triple C' may be calling time on his career once again.

Cejudo removed his gloves in the octagon following the UFC 288 main event, something fighters often do when retiring from the sport. 'Triple C' revealed to Joe Rogan in his post-fight interview that while he may not be retiring, he was confused about where to go from here.

Henry Cejudo recently released a video on his YouTube channel sharing his future fight plans, and a possible opponent. He said this:

"Waking up that next morning and thinking about what I'm gonna do next, I can't let this go like this, I just can't. There's a fire burning through my veins, this little bit of anger, want, will, desire..."

Cejudo then added:

"I want Merab [Dvalishvili]'s head on a plate. He is the number one contender, I love it stylistically..."
