Henry Cejudo names the only matchup Jon Jones wants before retirement
Former UFC champion Henry Cejudo has named the only fight Jon Jones wants before retirement.
Jones made his highly anticipated return to the octagon earlier this year at UFC 285 in March. In his heavyweight debut, 'Bones' got the job done early, submitting Ciryl Gane in the very first round to win the UFC heavyweight championship.
Following Jones' win, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding who he'll fight next. While it seems as though the UFC heavyweight champion will take on Stipe Miocic next, a fantasy matchup against Francis Ngannou has always interested the fans.
However, the Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou fight will likely never happen as the latter has now signed with the PFL. According to Henry Cejudo, 'Bones' doesn't really care about a fight against 'The Predator' anymore. In a recent YouTube video, Cejudo revealed that Stipe Miocic is the only heavyweight Jones wants to beat:
βThe guy that he [Jon Jones] wants to beat is the greatest heavyweight of all time. His name is Stipe Miocic. You see, at the end of the day, people will look at the credentials and look at the numbers and realize at the end of the day, Stipe Miocic is the baddest heavyweight on the UFC roster in history.β

Francis Ngannou claims a fight against Jon Jones is still possible
Francis Ngannou recently signed with the PFL and the move made a potential superfight against Jon Jones nearly impossible. However, it looks like 'The Predator' is not ready to close the door on the fantasy matchup.
In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Ngannou claimed that a fight against the UFC heavyweight champion is still possible. Suggesting that a cross-promotion event between PFL and UFC can make the fight happen, the former UFC champion said:
"I will be ready in 2-3 months from that moment that they agree with that [cross-promotion fight]. That's the way they will do it now. It has to be a cross-promotion. I always claim for this Jon Jones fight, I always wanted Jon Jones fight and they seem like not to want to make this Jones fight happen."
