Henry Cejudo slams Sean O'Malley's "fluke" win against Aljamain Sterling

Sean O'Malley was unable to defend his bantamweight for a second time as he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306 last weekend. Henry Cejudo, who has angled for an opportunity to face 'Suga', recently slammed the No.1-ranked bantamweight, labeling his UFC 292 title-winning victory over Aljamain Sterling a fluke.

Speaking to co-host Kamaru Usman on the Pound 4 Pound podcast, the former double champ stated:

"What can I say? I predicted these things. Sean is not accustomed to going five rounds, and he is not accustomed to people on his legs. And I just felt like - I still go back and say, hey, that fight with Aljamain Sterling, that was a fluke too. Aljamain was still in that fight, and people thought I was just hating. It's like, no, I’ve been in there with Merab."

'Triple C' continued:

"I did a whole lot better than Sean did when I fought Merab. I mean, I took down Merab. Merab is lucky that I had that groin injury... and I'm still planning on running it back, but either way, Sean O’Meth-ly got his a*s kicked for five rounds and I can’t wait to get him next."

Cejudo claimed that O'Malley has been given favorable matchups on an easy path to the title. He noted that he is hoping to fight the former bantamweight champion due to their years of online back-and-forth, however, he believes 'Suga' will be reluctant to take the bout. Finally, 'Triple C' revealed that he will return to flyweight if the matchup doesn't materialize.

Henry Cejudo calls out Sean O'Malley after being called a bronze medalist

Henry Cejudo has been among the most vocal critics following Sean O'Malley's unanimous decision loss to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306 last weekend. 'Suga' recently labeled the No.6-ranked bantamweight as a bronze medalist, leading 'Triple C' to fire back on X, tweeting:

"The only thing you ever won the gold in is being the worlds biggest Cuck. You are so in denial you should move to Egypt. They should take some of Diddy’s baby oil and put it on your dry v**ina. @SugaSeanMMA"

Cejudo won an Olympic gold medal in freestyle wrestling in 2008. He went on to become the fourth double champ in UFC history, labeling himself as 'Triple C'. While O'Malley has been called out by several contenders, none have been more vocal than the No.6-ranked bantamweight.
