Here's how much Drake lost as Tyson Fury got handed his first career loss by Oleksandr Usyk
The 'Drake Curse' hit again as the Canadian rapper lost a staggering six-figure bet in Tyson Fury's loss to Oleksandr Usyk. The curse has become an infamous phenomenon in recent years where the fighter or team favored by Drake tends to lose. Famous fighters, including Conor McGregor, have been victims.
Fury and Usyk fought in a heavyweight title unification bout on May 18 where Usyk walked away with a split-decision victory (115-112, 114-113, 113-114) after 12 hard-fought rounds. This was the first loss of Fury's professional boxing career.
Fury was a slight betting favorite heading into the fight and many analysts gave him an edge over the Ukrainian. Drake also favored Fury to win and recently posted his betting slip on his Instagram Story, revealing that he lost a staggering $565,000 bet.

That said, the 'Drake Curse' has been defied by several fighters in the past. Most recently, UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira defeated Jamahal Hill at UFC 300 despite being favored by the Canadian rapper. Fury himself defeated Deontay Wilder in 2021 after being picked by Drake.
Fury vs. Usyk headlined the Ring of Fire event at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. While the fight was closely contested, Usyk had the most significant moment when he came close to getting a finish in Round 9. However, Fury survived the onslaught and even won the final round on all three judges' scorecards.
With the win, Usyk became the first undisputed heavyweight world champion since Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in 1999.
Although Fury enjoyed a significant size advantage heading into the fight, he has admitted to have struggled with a smaller opponent in the past.
