Robert Whittaker tells Paulo Costa to get "a better label" for secret juice

Robert Whittaker has joked that Paulo Costa needs to reinvest in his "secret juice" and pay for better marketing and labeling, referring to the bottle and its taped-up label.

Whittaker vs. Costa was announced earlier this month and will take place at UFC 284 next year. 'The Reaper' is heading into the bout off of a dominant decision win over Marvin Vettori and still sits as the No.1-ranked fighter in the middleweight division.

For Costa, the Brazilian turned around a two-fight skid when he defeated Luke Rockhold at UFC 278 in August. The pair put on a Fight of the Night performance with 'Borrachinha' having his hand raised via unanimous decision.

During a recent appearance on Submission Radio, Whittaker was asked about Paulo Costa and his secret juice. The juice is a reference to Costa's physique, which many don't believe he achieves without using banned substances. The Brazilian created a secret juice to play along with the joke. 'The Reaper' said:

"The secret juice. I've seen it. The only thing that I can think of is get a better label bro! It's just scribbled on some paper and sticky-taped to the bottle. His secret juice production facility is in a f*****g hard budget! They're making top-of-the-range gear but the label's not!"

Henry Cejudo confident he could coach Robert Whittaker to defeat Israel Adesanya

Henry Cejudo believes that Robert Whittaker working with him would give 'The Reaper' the best chance of beating Israel Adesanya, should the pair meet for a trilogy bout.

'The Last Stylebender' defeated Whittaker to become the middleweight champion in 2019. The pair ran it back earlier this year, but again Adesanya walked away victorious.

Whittaker (12-2 at 185lbs) remains undefeated at middleweight aside from his two bouts with Adesanya. The 31-year-old was extremely impressive in his most recent outing against Vettori and aims to challenge 'Izzy' once again. According to Cejudo, Whittaker's best chance of a victory is to work with him:

"The middleweight division, I just don't see IQ in there... If I was to even get Robert Whittaker like, under me, in my hands, I know I could get Robert Whittaker to beat a guy like Israel. I just have a different sense of it, you know? There's a lot of things that he did right and there's things that he did wrong. Like, being too cautious, over-respecting your opponent, things like that."
