"His strength will double" - Stephen Loman believes Superlek will be more lethal in bantamweight clash against Jonathan Haggerty
Number two-rated ONE bantamweight MMA contender Stephen Loman expects a better version of Superlek Kiatmoo9 in his upcoming world title clash with Jonathan Haggerty in the headliner of ONE 168: Denver.
Superlek will move up in weight and challenge Haggerty for his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title at the Ball Arena in Colorado.
With weight cutting out of the equation in his camp, Loman believes that the reigning ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion will have a boost in his power. In a recent interview with Sportskeeda MMA, he stated:
"Now, I think he won't be cutting weight for this match against Haggerty then his strength will be double at least."
The Filipino MMA star also added that 'The Kicking Machine' will be at the peak of his powers since his physical condition is at an all-time high, and added:
"He'll be in a better physical condition when he fights Haggerty."
The Kiatmoo9 Gym athlete guns for his second world title and wants to become the latest athlete in the world's largest martial arts organization to be a two-sport and a two-division king.
Superlek wants to get the finish against Jonathan Haggerty in Denver
The Thai megastar doesn't only want to dethrone his British rival in front of American fans but wants to do it in a spectacular finish through a finish. He shared this plan with ONE Championship in an interview:
"It doesn't matter if it's cut short or goes the distance. I'll find the opening to get the finish."
Superlek looks to replicate his win over Haggerty six years ago at YOKKAO when he scored a second-round TKO stoppage due to a massive cut that he opened on his forehead.
