“Holler at your boy” - Denis Puric eager to ‘hand more whoopings’ in talent-stacked flyweight Muay Thai division

Second-ranked flyweight Muay Thai contender Denis Puric is fully embracing his new persona as the people's champion.

At this point in his career, the 39-year-old brawler wants to give fans the fights they want to see against opponents whom they see fit.

Recently, there's been some public clamor about a potential showdown between Puric and rising star Johan Ghazali. The 17-year-old wunderkind called out the 'Bosnian Menace' in the aftermath of his ONE 168: Denver KO win against Josue Cruz.

While he would preferably tussle with anyone from the top 5, Puric says he's ready to humble Ghazali or give a 'whooping' to anyone who wants to test him.

Puric said in a clip posted on his Instagram page:

"And again, if you guys want to see it, you want to see me hand all these whoopings. Go ahead, man, let me know. Let me know, ONE Championship, holler at your boy, and let's see what we can work out."

Win or lose, Denis Puric is the type of fighter who's never been in a boring fight.

The Team CSK man gained the respect and adulation of fans after bringing the fight to longtime flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon at ONE 167 last June, despite falling short on the judges' scorecards.

One thing's for sure, Puric always aims to please, regardless of the opponent in front of him.

Denis Puric says he and Johan Ghazali are not on the 'same level'

While Denis Puric admires Johan Ghazali's fearless bravado, he told the Malaysian-American prodigy to tone it down a notch.

After all, Ghazali has still yet to prove he can beat anyone from the top 5. 'The Bosnian Menace' said in the same IG video:

"This guy, you went and beat up a couple of bums, and now you think you're ready for this level? You're not ready for this level, man. You haven't beaten anybody that's a somebody, okay?"
