How Jarred Brooks’ dog Louie became his ‘training partner’: “He will bite your *ss”
Apparently, Jarred Brooks has another training partner to work with.
The man's best friend, Louie, is a buff pitbull who accompanies the American superstar in his daily grind on the mat.
As he is looking steady his final stage of preparation ahead of the ONE interim strawweight MMA world title fight against Gustavo Balart in the main event of ONE Fight Night 24 on August 2, Brooks shared a video in Instagram of him and Louie.
The 27-year-old fighter shared why he'd been taking his canine friend into the mat with FightWave in a recent interview.
He said:
"Louie, he’s a “G,” man. You’ve gotta watch out though, because he has such a big mouth, like he can literally grab your whole neck."
"So, it’s more dangerous than you think, going with him, because I go out with a very, very hard persona, but him, if you don’t watch your Ts and Qs, he will bite your *ss. So yea, he’s a great training partner."
Not surprising that Brooks, now the top-ranked contender in strawweight MMA division, is heading into this clash inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium with high confidence.

Gustavo Balart says he's destined for ONE Championship gold
On the other end, ONE Fight Night 24 could be a crowning moment for Gustavo Balart.
He posted in Instagram, saying that he's destined to capture the gold before unifying the belts against ONE strawweight MMA king Joshua Pacio.
Balart wrote:
"Seeing all the obstacles I have had to overcome to get to this moment, I can only say that it has been an incredible journey. On August 2, the moment I have waited and desired for so long arrived. It is time to crown me king of my weight category. Let's go for everything, let's go for more, let's go for much more."
ONE Fight Night 24 will air live and free in U.S. primetime to all Amazon Prime Video subscribers in North America.
