"How long do I have to wait" - Fans call for explosive rematch between Fabricio Andrade, Kwon Won Il for bantamweight MMA throne

ONE Championship recently reminded us how good reigning ONE bantamweight MMA world champion Fabricio Andrade is by posting his atomic knee strike against John Lineker during their first meeting in October 2022 at ONE on Prime Video 3.

The world's largest martial arts organization also asked fans who Andrade should face next for his first championship defense of the 26-pound golden belt. They captioned their Instagram post with:

"Fabricio Andrade is VICIOUS 🤯 What's next for the ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion? 🏆 @fabricioandrade1"

Fabricio Andrade previously defeated Kwon in their first meeting at ONE 158 in June 2022 with a first-round knockout to earn the opportunity for the world championship.

However, since that loss, 'Pretty Boy' went on a three-fight win streak and scored TKO wins over Mark Abelardo, Artem Belakh, and Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg.

Following his second-round TKO finish of Zoltsetseg from his previous outing, Kwon Won Il used his post-fight interview to call out Fabricio Andrade for a possible world title rematch because he felt that he earned the opportunity.

However, Andrade quickly responded to him and claimed that he would suffer the same fate as their first encounter: a knockout loss from the Evolve MMA and Tiger Muay Thai representative.
