How many kids does UFC featherweight contender Brian Ortega have?
Brian Ortega is a highly-skilled MMA fighter who has twice challenged for UFC gold. However, 'T-City' is also a family man and often posts images and videos of his children, wife, and family on social media.
The UFC fighter has two sons with his wife, Stephanie Renee Ortega. The UFC featherweight contender was married to Roberts but was dating fellow UFC fighter Tracy Cortez until early 2023. His sons are seemingly still young, so very little is known about them. It appears that Ortega and Roberts got married again.
Brian Ortega doesn't have any children with ex-girlfriend, Tracy Cortez. Cortez is also still an active fighter, which could mean her career would have to be paused in order to start a family.
While Ortega and Cortez were engaged, their relationship ended in early 2023, which even led to a public feud and social media altercations.
Brian Ortega is in a happy place with his wife and kids after overcoming a "dark" phase in his life
Brian Ortega had to deal with rough times on the personal as well as professional front over the last few years. The 33-year-old went winless for nearly three years after his win over The Korean Zombie in 2020.
Following a lopsided decision loss against former champion Alexander Volkanovski in 2021, Ortega suffered another defeat against Yair Rodriguez due to a shoulder injury in the fight. He had to undergo several surgeries to get back in the competitive sphere and health with serious personal issues along the way.
Ortega got back in the win column by defeating Yair Rodriguez in a rematch in February 2024. Following the much-needed victory, 'T-City' shed light on his struggles through the dark phase of life and expressed his happiness for getting his life back on track:
"I'm doing good, bro. I'm not going to lie to you. I'll be honest with you right here. It's been rough. I lost one of my best friends. I lost two friends after that. I got betrayed by people that were close to me. I had four surgeries back to back to back! It's just a lot of things in my personal life, bro. It looked dark."
He added:
"I know a lot of people think this to be cheesy but I went to church and I found God. A year ago I was a broken man. And, now, today, I'm married. I've got my kids with me, I've got my family back. Look at us, we're doing good!"
