Alex Pereira issues a unique challenge to Khalil Rountree Jr. ahead of thier championship fight

Alex Pereira has issued a unique challenge to his upcoming opponent, Khalil Rountree Jr., ahead of their UFC 307 title clash. Pereira has publicly questioned 'The War Horse's' claim that he will not attempt any takedowns during the fight.

In an effort to test Rountree Jr.'s resolve, Pereira has suggested that the challenger publicly pledge to donate a percentage of his purse to charity if he does attempt a takedown during the fight.

Pereira believes that this incentive would ensure that Rountree Jr. sticks to his word and focuses solely on striking. Speaking to Kevin Iole 'Poatan' said:

"Honestly, bro, everybody says that before trying to shoot a takedown against this guy, so it's hard to believe. The only way [I'll] believe [is] if Khalil goes public and say, 'I promise that I'm not going to shoot a takedown on this guy, and if I do and I'm going to donate a percentage of my purse for charity,' then [I'll] believe it and say let's bang."
