How Seksan got his nickname ‘The Man Who Yields To No One’ after flipping the script in a fight
Seksan explained the origin of his nickname, 'The Man Who Yields To No One.' Over the last twenty years, Seksan has solidified his legacy in Muay Thai with various impressive wins and action-packed wars.
The Thai superstar is a well-known fighter for more than his in-ring performances, as his nickname, 'The Man Who Yields To No One' is undoubtedly one of the greatest of all time.
During an interview with the South China Morning Post, Seksan provided the following story about his nickname:
"I’d like to give a shoutout to a fan, he’s actually a fan of mine who gave me this name. It was during the fight with Kaimukkao. That fight was a very hard fight, and everyone thought I would lose. I had a lot of injuries from that fight."
Seksan added:
But then I got back up and knocked him out. So the fan gave me the name after that, and people heard about it, people kept calling on the name, so I got used to do it."
Seksan's first fight under the ONE Championship banner was in Jan. 2023. The 4x Muay Thai world champion started his promotional tenure with an 8-1 record before a shocking defeat against Yutaro Asahi earlier this year.

Seksan is scheduled to take on Liam Harrison in legacy matchup at ONE 168: Denver
Seksan is hellbent on returning to the winning track and has some business to take care of in a legacy matchup. On Sept. 6, the Thai legend will face fellow fan-favorite Liam Harrison in a catchweight Muay Thai bout at ONE 168: Denver.
Harrison also has added motivation to return to the win column. The 38-year-old hasn't fought since a loss in Aug. 2022 against then-ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama. 'Hitman' suffered a leg injury in the fight that required surgery, leading to him enduring a longer-than-expected layoff.
Harrison vs. Seksan is one of many intriguing matchups taking place in the Ball Arena for ONE 168: Denver. Tickets for the upcoming event featuring two world title fights can be found on Ticketmaster.
