"I always go for the finish" - Aung La N Sang on why he's still fan-favorite after all these years"
Aung La N Sang sure knows how to put on a good show for the masses. Even after all these years, 'The Burmese Python' has shown why he's still a fan favorite.
The knockout specialist makes his anticipated return to action at ONE 168: Denver to continue exactly where he left off. After stringing together three straight stoppages within the last year, Aung La says he's sure to capture his fourth highlight-reel finish when he competes against Turkish rising star Shamil Erdogan.
Despite making it look easy, Aung La admits that it's a harrowing ordeal to compete against strong opponents.
Thankfully, he's been training non-stop so that once he's in the middle of a brawl, his animal instincts take over. Explaining why the fans consider him an exciting fighter to watch, Aung La told Cageside Press:
"I felt [Fan Rong's] shots, but I was timing mine. I always come to finish fights. So when I get the chance, I always go for the finish."

"No 20-plus hour flights" - Aung La N Sang is relieved about saving some travel time to be fighting at home
Despite having the opportunity to travel a lot for work, Aung La N Sang is excited about the prospect of fighting in his adopted home in the US.
Aung La last fought in front of a US crowd at ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III in May 2023. As we recall, 'The Burmese Python' was welcomed into the arena like a hero for the people of Myanmar and the US.
So he's relieved about having another opportunity to fight on home turf in one of the most significant fights of his storied career.
Speaking to ONE, he said:
"It's going to be very exciting. No 20-plus hour flights, which I don't mind now. But yeah, it's going to be cool to fight in front of my family, in front of some of the US fans. I'm excited to put on a great show. It's going to be exciting."
