"I was a bit starstruck" - Liam Harrison recalls his first meeting with wrestling legend now friend Bill Goldberg

Former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title challenger Liam Harrison reminisced about when he first met wrestling icon Bill Goldberg a few years back when he presented him with the trophy after winning a fight.

Harrison excitedly recalled this during the recent press conference of the upcoming ONE 168: Denver card, where he will face Seksan Or Kwanmuang in a catchweight Muay Thai fight, as he narrated:

"I actually met Bill about 10 years, no, about nine years ago when I fought in Malaipet, when I won that fight he got in the ring to present me with the trophy and he was a childhood hero of mine so I was a bit starstruck."

It was an incredible moment for him to be up close with one of his childhood heroes, especially winning his fight in front of him. Years later, they developed a great relationship and became friends.

Goldberg also appeared on ONE Championship's Instagram account, where he described fighters with one word. When Harrison's name was mentioned, the WWE icon said that he was 'Terrifying.'

Because of his two-year absence from action due to injury, the Bad Company athlete is now excited and hyped to make a comeback. According to Harrison, he is now itching to get in the ring and put on a show for fans, especially those who are in attendance at the Ball Arena.

The British combat sports superstar said:

"That's what I'm looking to as well, because I've been out of the ring a long time, and I've been itching to get back in there."

ONE 168: Denver will be broadcast from the Ball Arena in Colorado during U.S. primetime on Sept. 6. Tickets for the event are available on Ticketmaster.
