“I was born for it” - Malaysian star Jihin Radzuan says she was born to be a professional fighter, continues to hone craft at Fairtex

Combat sports aren't for everyone, but Jihin Radzuan knew early on that fighting for ONE Championship was the destined career she had to undertake.

Jihin looks to further establish her notoriety in ONE Championship when she takes on Ayaka Miura in an atomweight MMA match at ONE Fight Night 25 this Friday, US primetime, at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium.

In an interview with the South China Morning Post, Jihin expressed the reality of fighting as a profession and why some people aren't cut for such a lifestyle.

She, however, fully embraced the difficult career as she continued to hone her craft with the famed Fairtex Training Center in Thailand.

Jihin Radzuan said:

"I was born for it. This is my life now. I chose this career and now it’s part of my life. Right now, I’m living in Pattaya, and I wake up and just focus on training."

The Malaysian star has been with ONE Championship since 2018 and is one of the most dependable female fighters on the roster.

A constant presence near the top of whatever card she figures in, Jihin can always be relied on to put on a barnburner against anyone ONE Championship puts in front of her.

Jihin is the prototypical mixed martial artist who can excel in any discipline, and she used that versatility to carve out eight wins and three finishes in the promotion.

She now looks to chalk up her ninth win in the promotion when she takes on Miura, a former ONE women's strawweight MMA world title contender, in Bangkok.

ONE Fight Night 25 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.

Jihin Radzuan eyes crucial matchup against South Korean star Ham Seo Hee

Jihin Radzuan has yet to challenge for a piece of ONE Championship gold, but a matchup against one of the best female fighters of all time could lead to that elusive world title shot.

In the same interview with the South China Morning Post, Jihin expressed her desire to take on multi-time champ Ham Seo Hee.

She said:

"She’s one of the fighters in my weight category, but I believe that ONE will match me up with her. It’s a good matchup, I think. She has a lot of experience. Being in the ring is not always about fighting, it’s about learning. You’ll know what your weaknesses are and learn from it. So yeah, I think it’s a good opportunity."

Ham won gold at Jewels, Road, and Rizin, and once contented for the vacant ONE women's atomweight MMA world title against eventual holder Stamp Fairtex.
