"I can learn from him a lot" - Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat sounds off on halting Johan Ghazali's hype train at ONE 167
At ONE 167, Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat secured one of the biggest upsets in recent times to boost his own momentum.
The Vietnamese competitor has faced some tough competition during his time competing in ONE Championship.
On June 7 at the Impact Arena, he faced one of the most exciting rising contenders in the flyweight Muay Thai division.
Johan Ghazali looked to use his speed, aggression, and power to push his opponent back and land heavy combinations like he has in his other flawless performances.
However, with his experience and composure, Nguyen was able to wade into the storm and didn't back down from engaging in a fire fight with the young phenom.
In a post-fight interview with Sportskeeda MMA, he spoke about lessons that he can take away from his opponent:
"Yes, after my fight with Johan, I was thinking that he has a lot of power and strong hands. So I can learn from him a lot. He's very strong and he's good."

Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat taught Johan Ghazali a valuable lesson
There are certain things that Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat will be able to take away from facing Johan Ghazali this past weekend.
However, for the teenage striker, this setback could prove to be a vital moment for his career after suffering his first loss.
The undefeated contender came in and looked to land the knockout shot from the very start and, as a result, fought recklessly.
Experience was crucial for Nguyen, and his maturity of knowing when to engage and when to remain defensively sound was the defining trait of the fight.
Both men will have learned a lot about themselves and each other in this fight following a non-stop clash inside the Circle that set the tone for the rest of the evening.
