"I can do much better" - Alibeg Rasulov unsatisfied with his clinical shutdown of former lightweight king Ok Rae Yoon
ONE Fight Night 23 was a big breakout moment for Alibeg Rasulov but he believes that can improve on it in the future. Not many competitors get the chance to step right into the main event against a top contender on this debut but that's what happened to the Turkish lightweight.
He was able to keep his undefeated record intact by shutting down the striking game of Ok Rae Yoon inside Lumpinee Stadium. His grappling was on full show on July 5 and defeating a former champion is a huge accomplishment for his first fight under the ONE Championship banner.
However, Rasulov believes he still has a lot more to show people after being left unsatisfied with his performance.
He spoke in his post-fight interview that he was happy with the win but there is room for improvement next time out:
"You know, like it was a pretty difficult fight. I'm really happy to have won and my opponent, he was strong, but still I won. But I just can say that I can do much better."

Alibeg Rasulov nearly hit a perfect ONE debut
Despite feeling like he can put on a much better performance, Alibeg Rasulov has to come away happy with the step that he just made in his career. The one negative is that he was unable to win the interim title in the main event because of his failed hydration test before the contest.
His opponent was the only one eligible to leave Lumpinee with the gold but in the end, the belt remained without a holder. Rasulov will look to put this in the rearview mirror next time out where he can hope to continue building upwards after this big debut win.
