"I can read the pattern" - Superlek confident he has Jonathan Haggerty all figured out ahead of ONE 168 megafight
Being an elite-level competitor like Superlek means having the ability to adapt to different opponents. The old saying that styles make fights is incredibly true, and not every skilled opponent is like the next one.
As one of the best in the world, the Thai striker has faced many different looks during his career, which has helped him prepare for ONE 168. 'The Kicking Machine' believes that he has already got a lock on his next opponent, ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Jonathan Haggerty.
The two men have met before back in 2018 before they were both signed to ONE Championship where Superlek got his hand raised after the fight was stopped due to a cut.
In a recent interview with the South China Morning Post, the challenger spoke about how Haggerty isn't the most unpredictable of fighters, in his opinion:
"And also there are so many more [fighters] who are a bit tricky to read. Like [their] game plans are kind of always changing, or they don't really have a certain pattern. They don't really have a certain thought process. And it's hard to read. And I feel like Haggerty is like, I can read the pattern."

Superlek is a master of his craft across all bases
The problem with preparing for an opponent like Superlek is that whilst every fighter has flaws, he's so good at most aspects of striking.
His kicks and elbows are particularly devastating but to say that his entire game isn't effective would simply be untrue.
Like the challenger's belief, Haggerty believes that he can spot the gaps in his opponent and will now look to capitalize on them when they collide at the Ball Arena in Denver.
Only one man can walk out of the main event on September 6 with the world championship, and it could come down to whichever man is able to adapt in the moment.
Tickets for ONE 168: Denver are available via Ticketmaster.
