"I have cardio for days" - Jarred Brooks says there's no 125-pound fighter in the world who can keep up with him

Aside from the unfortunate circumstances that led to him being disqualified at ONE 166: Qatar earlier this year, Jarred Brooks has yet to put a foot wrong since signing with ONE Championship.

'The Monkey God' has taken out many of the top contenders in the strawweight MMA division and is looking to continue doing the same.

At ONE Fight Night 24 he will once again look to prove that he is the best in his weight class by winning the interim strawweight MMA title in a clash with Gustavo Balart.

During his time in the promotion, one of Brooks' biggest assets has been his conditioning which he uses to overwhelm opponents as the fight goes on.

He showed his ability to fight over five rounds in his first clash with Joshua Pacio where he won a unanimous decision to become the strawweight MMA champion.

Brooks will now look to come out on top in his second main event on August 2 at Lumpinee Stadium.

In a recent interview with Sportskeeda MMA, he spoke about how let alone ONE Championship's strawweight roster, he believes that no fighter at his weight class can keep up with him pace for pace:

"I have cardio for days. I don't really think [Alexandre Pantoja] can stick with me for five rounds and keep up with my speed. These guys are going at 50 miles an hour, but I'm still going 80 in the fifth round."

Jarred Brooks is a very difficult opponent to prepare for

The mentality and cardio of Jarred Brooks make him a very difficult opponent to prepare for because there are few that can match his output.

However, Brooks is expecting a tough fight when he comes up against wrestling specialist Gustavo Balart on August 2.

Balart is another competitor that is always looking to dominate the fight with his pace and pressure which Brooks will look to meet when they come face to face for the first time.

ONE Fight Night 24 will air live and free in US Primetime via Prime Video for North American viewers with an active subscription.
