"I'd be just as willing to take it" - Young phenom Adrian Lee talks about potentially fighting inside a ring setting
Adrian Lee is still experiencing a lot of firsts in his young and exciting MMA career.
The lightweight MMA prospect has got a lot of eyes on him but taking things slow is massively important for him at this stage.
Lee is still learning on the job, even if he does have an excellent team around him, as well as his family who know a fair bit about what it takes to reach the top. He was able to get off the mark last time out by earning the first win of his pro career at ONE 167.
Submitting Antonio Mammarella at the Impact Arena in Bangkok saw him get his hand raised inside the ONE Championship cage for what will surely be the first of many times.
One of the aspects of competing in this promotion that is easy to overlook is the differences that come with fighting in a cage versus a ring.
This is something that Johan Ghazali has spoken about a lot after he suffered his first setback when fighting in the ONE 167 cage.
In a recent interview with 4oz to Freedom, Lee gave his thoughts on changing up the physical arena:
"I don't have any desire to fight in the ring. However, if I do have a fight inside of the ring, I'd be just as willing to take it."
