"I'd like to have a trilogy" - John Lineker wants Rodtang in Muay Thai or Fabricio Andrade in MMA
At this stage, it's incredibly hard to deny John Lineker the huge career-defining fights that are currently on his wishlist.
The Brazilian highlight machine is on a great run of results in his career right now, which has seen him go from competing at the top of the bantamweight MMA division to delivering knockouts in Muay Thai.
ONE Fight Night 25 was yet another example of the power that he brings to the table as he absolutely tore through Russia's Alexey Balyko on his way to a second straight finish in Muay Thai.
In his post-fight interview with Mitch Chilson inside the ring at Lumpinee Stadium, the former bantamweight world champion outlined the two potential paths for him right now.
Both involve huge clashes with world champions, and his recent performances are sure to set him up for a bout of this magnitude in the near future:
"At this moment, I would like to fight against Rodtang in Muay Thai, and in MMA, I'd like to have a trilogy with Fabricio Andrade."
John Lineker isn't far away from earning both fights
John Lineker hasn't been competing in MMA during his recent appearances under the ONE Championship banner.
However, he is riding a two-fight winning streak in the bantamweight MMA division following his loss to the champion, Fabricio Andrade, at ONE Fight Night 7.
As for Rodtang, this is a fight that also seems like it could be a possibility purely because it would be one of the most exciting matchups of the year. Both men have got power in their hands and a granite chin, which allows them to walk down their opponents and bully them inside the ring.
This would be a meeting between two immovable objects and undeniable forces of nature that would surely produce an instant classic in Muay Thai.
The replay of ONE Fight Night 25 is available on demand for Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
