"I'd love to fight in Atlanta" - Scottish brawler Nico Carrillo wants quick turnaround after decimating Saemapetch
Nico Carrillo is hoping to be back out in the final months of the year after extending his winning streak this past weekend.
The Scottish striker has been on a constant upwards trajectory since arriving in ONE Championship in April of last year.
His first three wins in the promotion, which all came via finish, solidified him as the number one ranked contender in the bantamweight Muay Thai division.
He defended this spot at ONE Fight Night 23 by stopping veteran contender Saemapetch Fairtex in the second round with another devastating knockout.
After taking some brief time off to let his body recover from this latest outing inside Lumpinee Stadium, Carrillo wants to jump back in for the final quarter of the year.
In an interview with the South China Morning Post, he highlighted ONE Championship's debut in Atlanta for ONE 169 on November 8 as his ideal destination:
"I would like to fight in October, November, December. If available, November. I'd love to [fight in Atlanta], absolutely."

Nico Carrillo will be watching from the wings
Nico Carrillo did exactly what he needed to at ONE Fight Night 23 with no notes needed.
He got the victory and left no doubts who is the top contender in the bantamweight Muay Thai division which means that for the time being, he can take a back seat.
The world championship in his division is set to be defending on September 6 at the Ball Arena in Denver when Jonathan Haggerty takes on Superlek.
Carrillo is sure to have one eye on this contest in the coming months in order to work out who he will be challenging for the title in the near future.
Rest assured, he will be ready and waiting for when the call comes to step into the spotlight.
