"I'd love to fight in the US" - Double world champion Christian Lee eyes ONE Championship return at ONE 168: Denver
Christian Lee is preparing to make his highly-anticipated return on September 6 when ONE Championship returns for its second on-ground showcase in North America.
Lee last fought in November 2022, defeating Kiamrian Abbasov by fourth-round TKO to become a two-division MMA world champion.
Since then, the 25-year-old has been mentally recovering following the tragic passing of his younger sister, Victoria Lee, who also fought under the ONE Championship banner.
'The Warrior' has recently teased his return to action later this year. During an interview with the South China Morning Post, Lee had this to say about when and where he wants to fight next:
"I'll definitely be training for a fight in September for Denver, Colorado. That would be great. I'd love to fight in the U.S. So I think that's one I'll be planning for."
ONE 168: Denver is already shaping up to be an incredible night of action, and should Christian Lee join the star-studded cast, there's no doubt that he'd put on a show inside the Ball Arena on September 6.
More recently, he re-entered the ONE Championship spotlight when he cornered his younger brother, Adrian Lee, for his pro-MMA bow and ONE debut.
The 18-year-old looked phenomenal in his second-round submission win at ONE 167, with the event replay available for North American viewers with a Prime Video subscription.

Who is Christian Lee expected to fight in his highly-anticipated return to action?
Christian Lee holds the ONE lightweight and welterweight world title.
Although it's unconfirmed by ONE, Lee plans to defend his lightweight throne first before potentially returning to the welterweight division at the end of 2024.
Lee recently revealed he wants the winner of a lightweight bout between Ok Rae Yoon and Alibeg Rasulov.
The matchup is scheduled to take place inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on July 5 at ONE Fight Night 23, which can be seen live and for free by North American viewers with an active Prime Video subscription.
It should be noted that Lee and Ok have a history under the ONE Championship banner. The world-class lightweight MMA fighters have fought twice for ONE gold, with Ok emerging victorious by unanimous decision, while Lee earned a second-round TKO when they ran it back.
