"I'd be down to sign it" - Jonathan Haggerty says Fabricio Andrade's MMA gold still on his radar

Despite plenty of talk about defending his world titles as of late, two-sport world champion Jonathan Haggerty is still very much interested in Fabricio Andrade's bantamweight MMA gold.

The English striking ace puts his bantamweight Muay Thai gold on offer in a blockbuster rematch against 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 168: Denver, which emanates live from the Ball Arena on September 6.

While he understands that he must fulfill his duty as the bantamweight kickboxing world champion, 'The General's' heart is set on becoming a simultaneous three-sport ONE world champion.

Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA's Nic Atkin, the Londoner had this to say in response to a question about his ambition to have a go at the 26-pound gold in the all-encompassing discipline:

"I mean, I wouldn't say that I've given up. I'm just not sure whether that will happen soon. But, you know, if they throw me the contract after this fight, you know, I'd be down to sigh it. Like I said, I don't duck anybody."

Until that gets ironed out, and with 'Wonder Boy's' return still anyone's guess, Jonathan Haggerty remains committed to things within his control.

As the Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion in the bantamweight division, the 27-year-old is prepared to knock down anyone who attempts to take his prized possession from his trophy cabinet.

Jonathan Haggerty says Freddie is 'ready to go' for sophomore outing at ONE Friday Fights

In the same interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Jonathan Haggerty shared his excitement to see his younger brother, Freddie, compete for the second time at ONE Friday Fights.

He shared:

"Yeah, he's excited to get back. He's buzzing. He wanted to go again as soon as possible. But they've come [up] with a date now. So he's ready to go, and he can't wait to come out to Thailand for the training camp. I'm excited for him as well."

Multiple sources say the 19-year-old will appear on the promotion's July 26 card inside the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. No opponent has been named for now.
