“I didn’t feel upset” - Prajanchai holds no resentment toward Jonathan Di Bella for pulling out of their initial meeting

Prajanchai PK Saenchai holds no ill will toward Jonathan Di Bella after their previously scheduled scrap at ONE Friday Fights 58 fell through.

This Friday, June 28, the reigning ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion will look to score his second strap as they headline ONE Friday Fights 68 live on pay-per-view.

Emanating from the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, the Thai is set to challenge Di Bella for the vacant ONE strawweight kickboxing crown after the undefeated Canadian-Italian was stripped of the title for missing hydration in April.

Speaking with ONE Championship about his missed opportunity in April, Prajanchai made it clear that he holds no animosity toward Jonathan Di Bella for his blunder. He said:

“I didn’t know a lot about this incident. I just knew that Jonathan didn’t pass his hydration test. I felt sorry for him. But we must follow the rules. I didn’t feel upset. I was just disappointed that I missed the chance for gold.”

Jonathan Di Bella seeks redemption against Prajanchai at ONE Friday Fights 68

Fortunately for Jonathan Di Bella, he'll have the chance to reclaim the gold he never technically lost.

Thus far, the 27-year-old star is a perfect 12-0 in his career, including impressive showings under the ONE Championship banner against 'Fighting Rooster' Zhang Peimian and three-sport sensation Danial Williams.

If Di Bella can score a win over the local hero in enemy territory, not only will he take the ONE strawweight kickboxing world championship back home, but he'll also snap one of the hottest win streaks in the art of eight limbs right now.

Will Di Bella redeem himself and bring the gold back home to Canada, or will Prajanchai extend his streak to five and become ONE's latest two-sport king?
