“I don’t back down from anyone” - Danny Kingad believes rivalry with Reece McLaren is far from over

Danny Kingad believes he and Reece McLaren will cross paths once again.

Alternating wins and losses in his last five outings, 'The King' will attempt to climb back into the win column on Friday, Nov. 8 when he steps back into the legendary Lumpinee Stadium for a high-stakes scrap with the top-ranked contender in the ONE flyweight MMA division—Adriano Moraes.

Kingad goes into the bout holding victories over some of the top names in the division, including fourth-ranked Reece McLaren. Kingad earned a win over 'Lightning' at ONE: Dawn of Heroes in August 2019.

Despite that fight being more than five years ago, 'The King' believes his business with the Aussie is far from finished.

"I think it will be a good matchup," Danny Kingad told Sportskeeda MMA regarding a potential rematch with McLaren. "You know that I don’t back down from anyone or any challenge. Whatever is given to me, I just take it and perform to the best of my abilities."

Danny Kingad looks to even the series against Adriano Moraes at ONE 169

Before Danny Kingad can even consider running it back with 'Lightning' inside the Circle, he'll have to get through one of the most decorated flyweight mixed martial arts of all time.

Kingag will meet Adriano Moraes in a bout that could very well establish the next man in line for a shot at the recently vacated ONE flyweight MMA world championship—a belt 'Mikinho' has held an incredible eight times. During his run with the strap, Moraes defeated Kingad via a first-round submission victory at ONE: Legends of the World in 2017.

Chomping at the bit to even the series, 'The King' will finally get his chance at ONE 169.

Fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug live on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, Nov. 8 in U.S. primetime.
