“I don’t choose my fights” - Adrian Lee says his focus is on fighting and not worrying about who he draws next
Adrian Lee isn't focused on deciding who he should fight next.
At ONE 168: Denver, Lee made his second appearance under the ONE Championship banner. Following an impressive debut, the 18-year-old, younger brother of Angela and Christian Lee, was matched up against Nico Corenjo.
As soon as the fight started, Lee charged across the cage and took down Corenjo. 'The Phenom' dominated with submission attempts and ground and pound before securing a first-round rear-naked choke, earning him a US$50,000 bonus.
Following his second MMA win, Adrian joined his brother, Christian, for a media scrum backstage at ONE 168. When asked about his next opponent, the 18-year-old lightweight MMA prospect said he doesn't have a preference:
"I don't choose my fights. I leave it all up to my coaches. So I just focus on the fighting."
Adrian Lee was one of six fighters to receive a $50,000 performance bonus at ONE 168. The other five warriors who walked away with extra money due to entertaining finishes were Johan Estupinan, Johan Ghazali, John Lineker, Seksan Or Kwanmuang, and newly-crowned two-sport world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9.
For those who missed the event, ONE 168: Denver can be rewatched by North American and Canadian viewers with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Will Adrian Lee fight for a third time in 2024?
Adrian Lee has fought twice in three months as he looks to gain experience as a professional MMA fighter. Considering he took minimal damage at ONE 168, 'The Phenom' will likely return to action once more before the end of the calendar year.
Although nothing is confirmed, a chance for the 18-year-old to share a fight card with his brother, two-division MMA world champion Christian Lee, seems like a plausible scenario.
Lee is scheduled to end a two-year layoff when he defends his lightweight MMA throne against Alibeg Rasulov. Only time will tell if the stars align inside the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, for Adrian and Christian to fight in the same night.
