“I don’t take anyone lightly” - Jackie Buntan doesn't underestimate the competition in ONE’s elite striking ranks
Filipina-American Muay Thai and kickboxing sensation and former ONE world title challenger Jackie Buntan believes that at the level in which she competes, any opponent is dangerous. As such, the 27-year-old Boxing Works representative says she cannot underestimate anyone she's in the Circle with.
Buntan is ready to make her highly anticipated return to action, and it's a big one. The Filipina-American star is set to make her second attempt at ONE gold against an absolute icon in Anissa Meksen.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Buntan shared her thoughts on competing in the world's largest martial arts organization.
The 27-year-old California native said:
"The stage I’m at, it’s all high-level opponents, and everyone’s worthy of being there, so I don’t take anyone lightly. Whoever wants to stand in front of me, I just view it as a completely new situation."
