"I felt slick" - Two-sport bantamweight king Jonathan Haggerty reveals his 'best round' in ONE Championship

ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty has been involved in several incredible fights under the world's largest martial arts organization.

His last three wins alone featured highlight reel-worthy knockouts over the likes of Nong-O Hama, Fabricio Andrade and Felipe Lobo respectively.

'The General,' though, doesn't consider any of these three victories as his most polished performance.

Turns out, Haggerty thinks it's the opening stanza of his battle with Mongkolpetch Petchyindee back in 2022 that showed what he is truly capable of.

In a video he posted on his YouTube channel, Haggerty said:

"I knew he was going to be a slow starter because that's what sort of fighter he was. He was a traditional Thai boxer, so he starts slow and finishes fast. So I thought if I get him at the start, when he's starting slow, and capitalize on that."

He continued:

"This was probably the best round I've had in ONE Championship if I'm honest. Just the way I evaded his shots, how fast I was, hit and don't get hit back. The combinations I was putting together. I felt slick. My dad used to work on my hands when I was a kid."

After a strong start, Haggerty took home the unanimous decision win at ONE: Bad Blood, which also snapped Mongkolpetch's perfect 4-0 run in the promotion.

Superlek, of course, is as fluid as they come. The British double champion knows anything less than his A-Game won't be acceptable in ONE's return to U.S. soil.
