“I would have finished” - Jarred Brooks comments on Mansur Malachiev’s inability to take out Bokang Masunyane

ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks of the United States doesn't think much of Russian star Mansur Malachiev, it's probably safe to say.

Brooks was underwhelmed by Malachiev's most recent performance against South Africa's 'Little Giant' Bokang Masunyane earlier this month, where the Russian took home a thorough unanimous decision victory behind his strong wrestling.

'The Monkey God' believes that if he were in Malachiev's position against Masunyane at ONE Fight Night 25 on Prime Video, he would have ended the fight inside the distance.

Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Brooks blasted Malachiev for his inability to end bouts.

'The Monkey God' stated:

"One hundred percent on both sides there were times when I felt if I were put into the position, I would have finished from there. But styles make fights, who knows?"

Needless to say, the beef between Brooks and Malachiev is starting to get spicy, and a potential bout between the two could be absolute fireworks if it were to happen.

Only time will tell if we see these two strawweight stars eventually throw down in the Circle.

Jarred Brooks says Mansur Malachiev is nothing but run of the mill: "He is trying to be me so bad it’s cringe"

Have some originality. This is 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks' venomous callout of Russian star Mansur Malachiev, following the latter's attempt to call out the American to a fight.

Brooks and Malachiev have been on a collision course for the past few months, trading barbs through the media.

'The Monkey God' believes Malachiev is simply following a tried and tested formula which he himself has laid out, and that the Russian star is failing miserably.

Brooks said:

"I think he wants to be me and be where I’m at indefinitely. He is trying to be me so bad it’s cringe, [to be honest]."
