Mikey Musumeci, the undisputed ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion, is aiming to be the first man to hold two belts in his discipline.

'Darth Rigatoni' will make an effort to realize that dream at ONE 168: Denver, where he is challenging ONE lightweight submission grappling king Kade Ruotolo for his belt in the co-main event of the September 6 spectacle.

Moreover, Musumeci feels that it would be his and Kade's responsibility to perform at their best in producing an exciting super-fight for the fans.

The New Jersey native shared this with ONE Championship ahead of ONE's return to U.S. soil in the Ball Arena, Denver, Colorado:

“I always constantly speak so well of the Ruotolos because they’re so versatile with their attacks. But I am going to go forward. I’m gonna attack."

He explained:

"It doesn’t matter the opponent I’m attacking, I just have to prepare and make my attack safe for their counterattack because they have very good counterattacks.”

Mikey Musumeci wants to make history with Kade Ruotolo

The man touted as one of the greatest submission grapplers of all time, Mikey Musumeci, will continue his path in scraping with the best opponents in ONE Championship.

And now, Musumeci's set to make another historical feat when he clashes with fellow megastar Kade Ruotolo in the ONE lightweight submission grappling world championship at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6.

The prodigious grappler will aim to be the first two-division world champion in his discipline, but he vows to create a magical experience for all fans with his rival and peer, Ruotolo.

He told Cageside Press in a recent interview:

"That's why we're going to make history together. We really want to get jiu-jitsu into the mainstream. And we really want to keep growing the sport. So two guys that come forward and kill each other, I think that's what's going to do it, like a brawl, like that vibe."
