However, "Denisa" opined that he wanted to be in Vegas to utilize the facilities offered by the UFC Performance Institute and joined Xtreme Couture.
Detailing why he left Cejudo's gym, Prochazka said:
"I spoke with Henry last week about some technique, about some training sessions. I was in his gym for skills, to share our knowledge about training. My knowledge, his knowledge and he's a very good person like a coach, like someone who can teach you something. He's a very smart and I am very appreciative. And I'm still in contact with him. But... I like to be here in Vegas [in] UFC Performance Institute. There is I have good foundation for physiotherapy and good conditioning, training."
Jiri Prochazka addresses sharing the same gym with potential future opponent Magomed Ankalaev
Jiri Prochazka is all set to defend his title for the first time as he enters a rematch with former champ Glover Teixeira at UFC 282. The two will be headlining the main card of the fight event. Meanwhile, the co-main will feature a fight between Jan Balchowicz and Magomed Ankalaev on December 10 in Las Vegas.
In an interview with Schmo, the current light heavyweight champ revealed what it is like to train in the same gym as a potential future opponent in Magomed Ankalaev. "Denisa" claimed that he is unaffected by Magomed Ankalaev training at Xtreme Couture. and that they mostly ignore each other:
"It's a little bit weird... He doesn't care about me being here to train and me too. I'm the same. So I'm just looking for my sparring partners and for my guys on the mat and I'm leaving him to do his work. We are both in preparation for our fights. When we go to fight together, I don't think we will train on the same mats."
