"I hate actors" - Belal Muhammad leaks hateful DM from Themba Gorimbo after latter calls out online critics

UFC welterweight contender Belal Muhammad took a shot at fellow welterweight prospect Themba Gorimbo on social media after the latter addressed online critics during his post-fight interview at UFC Vegas 92.

The drama unfolded just days before the event when Gorimbo received the heartbreaking news that his coach's mother passed away from cancer. Despite the emotional blow, Gorimbo vowed to win his fight against Ramiz Brahimaj in spectacular fashion and dedicate the victory to his grieving coach.

However, his emotional outburst during the pre-fight press conference drew criticism from some for being overly dramatic.

Following his dominant win over Brahimaj via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27), Gorimbo addressed the criticism he received online during his post-fight octagon interview. He stated:

“I just want to address these guys, come on for the guys tuning in online and say ‘oh, this guy's been dramatic and all that. I'm emotional because why? My wrestling coach, he has been here for eight weeks. He told me his mother was sick with cancer, and I thought he was going to be fine. She was going to be fine."

Gorimbo added:

"And I robbed him of the last moments of his mother. That's why I feel so guilty. That's why I cried the way I cried… So when you see me cry, with all you judgy, judgy on the comment sections and all of that. Look yourself in the mirror, death is going to visit you one day. Sometimes unexpected.”

Apparently, 'Remember the Name' wasn't impressed with Gorimbo's remarks. In a social media post, Muhammad shared a screenshot of a direct message he received from Gorimbo on a picture featuring Muhammad alongside Jamahal Hill. The message from Gorimbo read:

"One champion. You not a champion."

Muhammad responded by mocking Gorimbo in a caption, writing:

"lol yea these 'online haters' are crazy."

In a separate post, he added:

"I hate actors lol."

Themba Gorimbo scammed out of funds meant for charity

Elated after receiving his first UFC paycheck, Themba Gorimbo announced plans to give back to his home country through charitable initiatives. His efforts resonated with many, including UFC star Dustin Poirier who donated $10,000 to the cause.

However, in a recent interview with MMA journalist Aaron Bronsteter, Gorimbo revealed a disheartening experience. He was scammed out of $5,000 by someone posing as a buyer for fight shorts he planned to auction for charity.

The perpetrator sent a fake proof of payment and convinced Gorimbo to proceed with the transaction. Unfortunately, the funds never materialized, leaving Gorimbo to absorb the loss.

"Someone scammed me, man, So, I didn’t end up doing that. I lost $5,000 from the person that said they were going to buy the shorts...the guy told me the money has not cleared in the bank account and that it was a scam."
