"I hope that bloke mortgaged his house" - Dan Hooker reacts to a fan placing a whopping $79,000 bet on Claudio Puelles
Dan Hooker scored an impressive TKO victory against Claudio Puelles at UFC 281. However, the main card opener did not go well for one fan who bet heavily on the outcome...
As posted by Stake, the crypto-betting platform promoted by Canadian singer Drake, one fan bet a sum of $79,000 on Puelles defeating Hooker with a whopping potential return of $197,344.95.
Hooker reacted to the bet in his interview with Submission Radio. He expressed his sympathies for the fan before switching up and condemning him for betting against 'The Hangman'.
"Shame! They bet on Claudio! I hope, I hope that that bloke mortgaged his house. I hope that bloke, you know, financed all of his - I hope he's lost everything! That's what you get!"
The Submission Radio co-hosts joked around about the potential scenarios the fan may have landed himself in. Hooker then mentioned that he does not place his faith in such absurd bets.
He also made reference to the large sums of money Drake apparently consistently bets on UFC fights, admitting that he doesn't believe the wagers really come from the Canadian rapper.
"That's like when Drake keeps posting up and he's like, 'I put 15 million dollars on Paddy Pimblett.' And you're like, 'Did he really?! Did he really?' You know what I mean? I'm not sure, I don't potentially believe it."
Dan Hooker reveals how kissing Joe Rogan's head felt
Dan Hooker made headlines not only for his victory against Claudio Puelles but also for his incredible post-fight octagon interview with Joe Rogan.
After demanding a fight in Perth and issuing a general challenge to the UFC lightweight roster, Hooker signed off by planting a kiss on Rogan's bald head.
Upon being questioned in his interview with Submission Radio, Hooker spared no details in describing the experience:
"Joe Rogan's head, it was glistening. It was talking to me. It said, 'Kiss me, Dan Hooker. Kiss me.' It tasted sweet! It tasted sweet, he had the sweat. It was magical. It was like, 'Aah.' It was one of the best things I've ever tasted in my life, if I'm not gonna lie, if I'm being honest. That's a good-smelling man! That was a good-smelling man, well taken care of head. Not smelly at all. Delicious."
