“I did what I did” - Jarred Brooks says he has restructured his entire training camp to welcome version 2.0
Former ONE strawweight MMA world champion and current first-ranked contender 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks of the United States says fans will hardly recognize him when he enters the ring this weekend for ONE Championship, promising a new and improved version of himself.
Brooks is known as brash and confident -- a trash-talking machine who likes to get under the skin of his opponents. More importantly, he's a guy who backs it all up in the ring.
But Brooks says he has restructured his entire training camp and is coming into his next fight a new man.
'The Monkey God' told ONE Championship:
"Usually in my old camps I was only training one time a day. I only needed to train one time a day and then I took Saturdays and Sundays off. I'm accumulating almost eight to 10 hours a week, just training and half of that is strength and conditioning. Not even working on myself. You know what I mean?"
Brooks added:
"I did what I did. Now this whole camp, three and a half months, I have been working in and out of my goals and my game plans on how to beat people in the whole division. And now we've structured it down to Gustavo Balart."
